Vernette Rose Hejnal (nee Kratch) passed away at her home with  family near on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the age of 88 years.  Beloved wife of the late James Joseph Hejnal who passed away on January 9, 2007.  Cherished Mom of Cathy (Larry) Wittig, Janet (Dennis) Maass, Robert Hejnal, Barbara (the late Kirk) Kniep and James G. Hejnal.  Dear grandma of Christy (Chris) Cerfus, Drew (Cianna) Wittig, Jodi (Nick) Ward, D.J. (Kelly) Maass, Scott (Angelina) Maass, Tara Kniep and Katie Kniep. Great-Grandma of Evvly, Raymond, Brenden, Mae, Elliott, Maddy and Tyler.  Sister of Alice (the late Greg) Kaldunski,  Anne (Dave) Steinhilb,  the late Roy Kratch and the late Marian Kratch. Sister-in-law of Leona Hejnal and Rosemarie Manweiler. Also survived by other relatives and friends and members of the Mother of Good Counsel Parish community where she and Jim were members for many years. Vernette found great strength and peace in her lifelong Catholic faith and in Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

There will be time for visiting and sharing memories in the Chapel at the Raasch Raetz Funeral Home, 7709 W. Burleigh Street on Monday, June 24th. beginning at 11AM followed by Services at 12noon with Deacon Andy Meuler of Mother Good Counsel Parish officiating.
