James R. Neubauer of New Berlin, aged 88 years, passed away April 27, 2021. James was born to Frederick A. Neubauer and Anita (nee Wengel) Neubauer on March 22, 1933. Graduating from Washington High School in 1951, he eventually served his country as a Corporal in the U. S. Army, deploying in Japan during the Korean War.He married the love of his life June C. Neubauer on September 19, 1953, with whom he had four children. James earned a teaching degree in 1958 at UW-Milwaukee and taught in the Milwaukee Public School district until he retired. He was a lifelong congregational member of Immanuel Baptist Church (Brookfield).
James is preceded in death by his wife June C. (nee Engerson) Neubauer, and his son Stephen J. Neubauer. He is survived by his three daughters: Julie (Chris) Meyer, Katherine (Gene) Phillips and Christine (Tim) Wolff. His beloved grandchildren include Carrie Morgan, Michelle Mojica, Stephanie Phillips, Timothy Wolff Jr., Stacie Phillips, Joshua Wolff, Shelby Phillips, Lindsay Wolff, Kylie Wolff and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will take place on Saturday, May 15, 1:00PM in the Chapel of the Chimes at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield. The family requests that donations in his memory be made to the Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
